The objective of reporting tag is to have sales by item or purchase by item report report based on reporting tag you have created. The reporting tag can be customized according to your requirement. The reporting tag could be created for / based on:
1. Department
2. Location / Region
3. Group of Item

To began you need to create reporting tag under setting:

Reporting tag will be available at sales module (invoice) and purchase module (bill) upon creation:
You would need to click on Show All Additional information to assign reporting tag for your item:
You can now generate sales by item report or purchase by item report:
You would need to go to customize report. Select the date range -> Select Group By (your reporting tag) -> Select Advanced Filter -> Run Report:
Reporting tag report based on sales item will be generated:
