[Zoho Bookings] Roles & Permission Updated

Hello Bookings Community, 

We are pleased to announce a new feature in our Bookings scheduler, Roles and Permissions. This powerful addition allows you to define permissions for your staff members, ensuring overall privacy.

 

Establishing permissions for staff is essential, as it is the backbone of a secure system. As a first step, they're introducing the ability to configure access permissions specifically for the staff roles. In the future, Zoho will expand this functionality to other roles too. Let's have a quick rundown of what comes with this feature.

 

Profile permissions 

Currently, staff can edit their own profiles, except working hours. With this feature, admins can allow them to edit their own working hours.

 

Booking page permissions 

Zoho provide separate booking page links for every staff member, service, and workspace. Currently, staff members can view all the booking page links. However, by setting view permissions, admins can determine whether staff members can view only the booking page links that they are assigned to, or if they can view all the booking page links within the platform.

 

Safeguard customer data 

Fine-tune permissions and have more control over customer information, ensuring data visibility. Admins can define whether staff can view, edit, add, delete, or export customer data. Additionally, admins can decide whether staff can access all customer data or only the data of customers who had booked with them.
