Zoho is pleased to give you a heads-up on the upcoming revamp of the Zoho CRM Setup Page.
These updates have been made with careful consideration to improve the organization and visibility of the setup page, ultimately enhancing your overall experience and efficiency on our platform.
Zoho intend to provide further details on the motives behind this transformation to ensure your comprehension and acceptance of the enhancements they have implemented.
Why are the changes made?
Simplified navigation
The objective is to make it easier for you to find what you need when you need it. The revamped setup page offers a more intuitive and streamlined structure, reducing clicks and search time. It's designed to save you precious minutes and enhance your overall efficiency.
Consistency and clarity
In this update, Zoho has standardized naming conventions, regrouped related features, and clarified menu structures. This consistency not only simplifies navigation but also reduces the likelihood of confusion, making your Zoho CRM experience more user-friendly.
User-centric approach
This redesign has been influenced by the feedback they have received from the community, taking into account the requirements, preferences, and recommendations. They have put in significant effort to develop a setup page that seamlessly integrates with your workflow.
Future-ready
The new setup page is built to seamlessly accommodate the requirements of a continuously evolving CRM, keeping the line of future enhancements and features in mind.
What changes have been made?
Before heading to the details, here is a quick look at the changes.
So without further ado, let's delve into the specifics they've made to the setup page.
General
- Users from the Users and Control group have been moved to the General group.
- The section previously known as Company Details has been renamed to Company Settings.
- The Allowed IPs submenu has been removed from the Security Control menu and added to the Company Settings menu.
Please note that this change will only be available for customers who have the Allowed IPs menu.
Security Control
- The Users and Control group has been renamed as Security Control.
- The sub-menus such as Profiles, Roles, Data Sharing Settings, and Zoho Mail Add-on Users have been removed from the existing security control menu (previously found under Users and Control) and are now available as separate menus—Profiles, Roles and Sharing, Zoho Mail Add-on Users—respectively, under the Security Control group.
- The Zoho Directory group's menus have been removed and moved to the Security Control group.
- The Audit Log has been removed from Data Administration and added to Security Control.
Zoho Directory
- The Zoho directory group has been removed.
Channels
- Webforms will now be available under the Channels group. Previously it was available under Developer Space.
- The Unsubscribe Link submenu has been removed from Webforms and added as a submenu in the Email menu.
Customization
- Marketing Attribution has been relocated to Customization, from Automation.
Automation
- The Automation group will now contain Workflow Rules, Actions, Schedules, Assignments, Case Escalation Rules, and Scoring Rules.
Process Management
- CommandCenter has been moved from Process Management to the new group Experience Center.
Experience Center
- This is a new group that has been added to our setup categories.
- Segmentation has been relocated to Experience Center from Automation.
- Signals have been removed from Channels and added to Experience Center.
Data Administration
- Copy Customization will now be available under Data Administration. It has been relocated from the Customization group.
Marketplace
- A new menu called Extension Builder has been added to the marketplace, which redirects to https://sigma.zoho.com
Please note that the Extension Builder menu will be available only for Admin Profiles in the US DC.
Developer Hub
- The new name for Developer Space is Developer Hub.
- Zia Voice has been removed from the new Developer Hub.
- The SDKs menu has been combined with APIs and renamed as APIs & SDKs.
- Zoho CRM Variables have been renamed to Variables.
When will the changes be phased in?
- These changes are expected to be live for all users in all DCs by first week of December, 2023.
- When the enhancement is rolled out, users who access the setup page in English will be greeted with a video demonstrating all the changes, while for users in other languages, a carousel will be prepared to guide them.
