Introducing Color Coding of Picklist Values

Dear Everyone,

Greetings!!

Zoho CRM is uplifting the user experience. Recently, we had some notable aesthetic improvements in CRM like Kanban View UI enhancement, New List view UI enhancement, color coding of tags, and color coding of picklists in meetings.

Adding to the list is the provision to color code the picklist values across the modules.
Colored values provide distinction and bring attention to what is more important and needs to be prioritized. For example, you can color code the values of a picklist field and include that field in the module view of the deals module to prioritize and follow-up on high priority deals at ease.

Let's learn more about this update !

Picklist fields (For example, Lead Source, Account Type, Industry, Lead status, Stage, etc.) are displayed in many places across CRM. It can be a determinant factor in an automation criteria (like to segment based on Lead source) or it can denote progress (as in deal stage, lead status), or simply add more information to the record (like Industry, account type).

By enabling color coding to these picklist values, you can bring more impact and highlight their importance based on business needs.
How do I color code the picklist values?
Admins can enable the option to color the picklist fields in a module from the field properties. Kindly refer to our help doc to learn more on how to add/edit picklists.

In the case of the Deals module, the Deal Stage is a picklist field which can be color coded from the Stage-Probability Mapping settings. Kindly refer to the help doc for more details about Stage-Probability Mapping.

Where will the ascribed colors reflect?
Once colors are ascribed to different values, it will be displayed in the following places:
Record details page.

During record creation and edit.

Deal stages in color

In charts and dashboards

List View, Canvas List View, and Kanban view

P.S.: The color coding feature is supported for all modules except Tasks, Calls, Appointments, and Services. Color coding for pick lists in Reports and Criteria, will soon be provided.

That's all about the color coding feature on picklist values. For more information about color coding, kindly refer to our help doc.
